Patient Service Representative

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Patient ServiceRepresentatives work in a local hospital with uninsured patients on public assistance (Medicaid/charity) cases. We establish eligibility for program benefits. We also work as a liaison between the patients and state/Federal agencies to secure medical assistance program eligibility. Bilingual skills are a plus. Other duties will be assigned.

The schedules for these positions are 8am-5pm and 11am-8pm, Monday through Friday.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Degree is preferred but is not required
• Social service exprience is preferred
• Background working with Medi-cal or other governmental assistance programs is a plus
• Excellent customer service skills required
• Bilingual skills are helpful
• The hours are first shift Monday through Friday
• Must have basic office skills
• Strong typing skills are helpful
