A top pharmaceutical company in Northern New Jersey is seeking to hire an experienced clinical pharmacology/development professional to come in and lead/manage clinical pharmacology studies. In this role you will be responsible for scientific/medical aspects of clin pharm studies across multiple therapeutic areas. Title: Sr. Clinical Research Scientist/Associate Director, Clinical Pharmacology

Compensation: Base will depend upon experience. Location: Northeast New Jersey. Commutable not only from Central and Northern NJ, but also from NYC (via public transportation too), southern CT, and the New York counties near the Tappan Zee bridge.

Responsibilities in a Nutshell:

• Independently plan, design, direct, execute and summarize assigned clinical pharmacology studies.
• Liaise with clinical pharmacology and translational medicine functional unit for obtaining support for the assigned clinical studies.
• Serve as a key member of clinical teams and will be responsible for drafting the clinical pharmacology plans for the assigned projects.
• Act as a primary point of contact for any clinical pharmacology-related activities related to assigned projects and will develop new methodologies to explore clinical pharmacology aspects of the compound.
• Prepare regulatory documents (e.g. NDA documents, investigators brochures, IND updates etc.).

Experiences Desired in a Nutshell:

• 2-5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• PhD, PharmD or in some cases a Masters Degree.
• A thorough understanding of clinical research methodology including study design, protocol writing and CRF preparation is required as is a knowledge of GCP and regulatory requirements.
• A thorough knowledge of pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic concepts is essential
• Working knowledge of the IND/NDA process acquired through direct industrial experience is required.
