Monday thru Friday 7:30am – 4:30pm

COMPENSATION:

$43,000 / year

JOB SUMMARY:

Performs as an instructor in a regular classroom setting, presenting instructions in designated subject areas - Certified Nursing Assistant.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Promotes a positive and desirable atmosphere within the classroom setting to insure maximum student motivation

2. Maintains a high degree of discipline within the classroom setting in order to insure maximum learning

3. Establishes a high degree of student/instructor rapport

4. Utilizes all possible curriculum resources available

5. Responsible for the maintenance of student personnel folders

6. Records and forwards daily attendance to the Student Records area

7. Responsible for insuring that the equipment and supplies are cared for

8. Accountable for the cleanliness of classrooms

9. Responsible for reports required by the Manager such as student/staff hours, requisitions and monthly student evaluations

10. Assists Manger during scheduled inventory

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Minimum: Must be state certified, licensed or accredited by a professional trade organization. Must have the ability to transfer topical knowledge to meet specific learning objectives

Preferred: Extensive practical knowledge of trade and teaching experience

General Information: In order to perform the essential job functions of this position, candidate must be able to compose/write descriptive reports; use appropriate techniques to implement programmatic activities; verbally direct individuals and groups; remedy dysfunctional behavior; intervene with students in crisis with aggression control/safe physical management restraint techniques; successfully complete mandated training courses.

Knowledge Required: Knowledge of methods needed to instill appropriate behavior as well as work and study habits in adolescent students; of housekeeping techniques and management; to read, comprehend, interpret, communicate and execute instructions or directives fluently in English.
