Outside Sales Executive: Optus Inc.
Our Sales Executive is responsible for Protecting, Growing, and Acquiring (PGA) customers. The sales executive protects their assigned customer base through frequent contact, understanding their customer, updating account profiles annually, and serving the customs’ needs. Growth is accomplished by uncovering or creating new opportunities through increased penetration of customer organizations. New customers are acquired by way of referrals, business networking, lead groups, phone prospecting, and following-up on leads. Successful sales executives will meet minimum activity goals for prospecting, situation appraisal/needs analysis, presentation/demo, negotiation/contract, and assure satisfaction appointments. They will also maintain a sales opportunity pipeline of sufficient size to insure consistent sales results High School Degree or Equivalent required. Some college level business-related courses preferred. Cold calling and referral contact experience necessary. A minimum of three years sales experience with a proven track record required and some telecommunications sales experience preferred. Must be able to set appointments, ask appropriate questions to confirm customers’ needs, qualify prospects, communicate opportunities and work with Optus resources to design solutions, utilize configuration and pricing tools, prepare formal presentations, present to individuals or groups, negotiate, and secure signed agreements. Must also be able to complete required training modules, prepare required reports in a timely manner, utilize company software tools, and follow established processes. Must be a team player with a positive attitude and able to demonstrate excellent customer service and have strong written and verbal communication skills, a keen attention to detail and great organizational habit. This position requires the successful candidate to be able to multi-task, work within externally developed deadlines, and respond promptly and efficiently to change.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS: As much as 75% travel to customer locations, but limited overnight travel. Ability to read, write, and communicate both orally and written to external and internal customers and employees. Normal vision and normal hearing with or without correction. Ability to lift and/or carry up to 25 lbs., periodically, throughout workday. Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, sit in one place, squat and kneel continuously throughout day. Ability to reach, bend, and twist continuously throughout day. Ability to use hands and feet together for repetitive, coordinated motions. Ability to use hands for gripping and squeezing, as well as repetitive hand and wrist motions. Ability to work together effectively and professionally with internal and external customers. Ability to drive for business purposes and maintain a good driving record.
