Expert C/C++ programmer with experience in many other languages including Java, Pascal, Fortran, several assembly languages, and many others. Recent experience developing websites with PHP, MYSQL, HTML, XHTML, CSS, and Javascript. Capable of designing and implementing custom DBMS systems, implementing and using APIs for existing database formats, and converting data between different formats. Sr. Software Engineer (1999 to 2003)

Designed and developed converters for many graphics database formats and tools for building 3D graphics databases using C++ on UNIX and Windows platforms.

  • Designed and implemented methods to convert large databases using parallel processing utilizing multiple processors across the network.
  • Designed and implemented a system for converting many different graphic database formats, which reduced the implementation time for new formats by over 50%.
Software Engineer (1992 to 1999)

Responsible for the graphics DBMS for a family of simulation image generators.

  • Redesigned and implemented the entire DBMS while maintaining the existing interface; this caused the weakest part of the system to become the most stable and reliable.
  • Rewrote an export converter, previously unable to complete the export of a very large DB in three weeks, so that it completed the export in two days.
  • With two other engineers, ported the entire database generation tool suite and DBMS from sun UNIX to Microsoft Windows NT.
