| Design Related Experience |
As I mentioned in the education section, I am very close to graduating. I have completed 76 college units- and over 40 units have been in the subjects of Computers, Business, and Art. I have listed a few of the most applicable courses below.
This is a course on the fundamentals of graphic design, such as: visual appeal, fonts, graphics, preparing documents for printing, etc. I repeated this course twice (with A's!) and then I worked as a student aide for an additional two semesters.
I was the lead designer on the staff of the Fall 2000 issues of Clear Lake Community College's school newspaper: The Blue Heron Review. Martha Webster, assistant editor of the Middletown Times-Star, was the class instructor.
| · | Small Business Management:
In this course, I was required to create a very thorough business plan, including finacial information, market analysis & marketing materials, for a fictitious business. I chose "Digital Breeze Web Design," and created a unified marketing image with a logo, letterheads, business cards, ads, and etc.
| · | Reflections Literary Arts Magazine:
I was responsible for much of the editing, graphic selection, and layout design of the Clear Lake Community College's 2001 Reflections Literary Arts magazine; as well as having many of my poems and artwork published within.
| · | The Schoolhouse Bulletin:
I assisted in the design of the Lower Lake Historical Schoolhouse Museum's newsletter "The Schoolhouse Bulletin." I also researched & wrote an article on the history of railroads in Lake County, entitled "When the Train Almost Came to Town," published in the October 2001 issue.
| · | Freelance Website & Graphic Design:
I began doing freelance graphic design & internet website design in 1997, working with Gerald Goren, former sole proprietor of G-Squared Computer Consulting. I designed his company's logo and website, and websites for several of his clients. I have continued to create websites and graphic materials on a regular basis, though mainly for personal use and for friends and family. To view examples of my designs, please feel free to visit the following websites:

This is an example commercial internet storefront I have made. The product pages (& products!) are not available, but the logo, color theme, and basic layout are complete.

This is my online creative portfolio. It is a personal website, so the focus is more on creative expression rather than my "commercial" abilities, but there are many examples of my artwork- in both traditional mediums and digital. I recently re-designed the site and logo, but I have not yet updated the content with my more recent works.
