I am currently volunteering GIS services for Utahs Department of Wildlife Resources (DWR). I am helping the DWR develop a tractor suitability model for their sagebrush rehabilitation program. The model targets suitable areas for tractor-assisted treatments by eliminating steep terrains, southern exposures and rocky soil types. My responsibilities cover the acquisition of countywide datasets, data co-registration, mosaicking grids for countywide coverage, developing the geoprocessing scripts and testing the models results.
